Some places stay in your heart
Some places you simply visit. And some places immediately feel like home.
From our very first trip to Lefkada, there was this special feeling that is difficult to put into words. It felt as though we had arrived somewhere we had known for a long time. A feeling of arriving, feeling at home and thinking: This is exactly where we want to be.
We fell in love with the deep blue Ionian Sea, the green olive groves, the little streets, the Greek way of life and, above all, the special sense of tranquillity that fills the island. Time and again, we found ourselves returning to Lefkada.
What began as our favourite holiday destination gradually became a little piece of home with every visit. And eventually, that feeling turned into a wish: we wanted to have a little place of our own on this island - somewhere we could return to again and again.
In 2026, that wish came true.
With our apartment at Villa Irini, we have created exactly that place. A place where we can arrive, slow down and enjoy our time. A place that feels personal and familiar, and which we have designed with great attention to detail. And because we know just how special that feeling of arriving and feeling at home can be, we would love to share it with our guests.
Perhaps one day Lefkada will make you feel the same way it made us feel: you arrive, look around and suddenly think: “I could stay here.” 💙
